our Dutch East Indian Blend offers a rich and complex flavor that is hard to describe in one word. The white tea forms the base and provides a delicate, light touch, while the papaya and mango provide a sweet, fruity depth. The subtle aroma of pear perfectly complements the sweetness, and the red pepper provides a surprisingly spicy touch that enhances the flavor without overpowering it. The blossoms of rose, marigold and cornflower give the whole a floral undertone that provides an elegant and refined aftertaste. The result is a harmonious balance between sweet, spicy and fresh, which stimulates the senses and invites you to discover again and again.
Our Dutch East Indian Blend is a fairly light tea that lends itself well to longer steeping times. If you prefer a more intense flavor, feel free to let the tea steep for longer, but be careful not to overdo it, as the taste may become bitter. For the best brewing method, we recommend using one teaspoon of Winter Chai per cup and steeping it for 3-5 minutes in water heated to 95-100 °C. This allows the tea enough time to release its full flavor and aroma.
This refined white tea is inspired by the rich history of the Dutch East India Company and the exotic spices and fruits they brought back with them on their voyages of discovery. Let yourself be pampered by the perfect harmony of the soft white tea, combined with the sweet flavors of papaya and mango. This blend is further enriched with a hint of spicy red pepper and the subtle aroma of pear. To top it all off, this tea is adorned with a colorful bouquet of rose, marigold and cornflower blossoms. A real treat for the senses! Prepare for a unique taste experience that brings the rich history of the VOC to life in your tea cup.
