Green Rooibos comes from the Aspalathus linearis, a plant that only grows in South Africa. The most famous form is the red oxidized version of Rooibos.
Green Rooibos has a milder and fresher taste, a bit more malty and grassier. Green Rooibos contains no caffeine and little tannin and is rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, calcium and iron.
Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis) is a plant in the legume family (Leguminosae). The plant occurs naturally in the vicinity of the Cederberg (South Africa).
When the plant is 1.5 years old, it can be harvested for the first time and after 10 years the bush is at its end and dies.
Rooibos contains no caffeine and little tannin and is rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, calcium and iron.
