Rooibos Chai (Redbush Tea)
Chai is the Indian word for tea. In Dutch, the word Chai is usually used to indicate a spicy Indian herbal tea (masala chai in Indian). The Chai spices used in this tea are usually cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, ginger, pepper, but other spices can be added.
Our Rooibos Chai blend is a must for both Rooibos and Chai lovers. The soft pallet of Rooibos combines surprisingly well with the spicy character of Chai. The result is a spicy tea blend that will never get boring. Delicious with foamed milk and a pinch of extra cinnamon.

Chai, also called Masala Chai, has its origins in India. For this they used strong black tea combined with herbs and sweeteners.
There is no set recipe for Chai, but ginger, cardamom and cinnamon are generally one of the main ingredients.
