Unlike black tea, this special tea from Taiwan is only partially oxidized. This gives the tea a chestnut-like fragrance, but also has honey and wood accents. The taste is between green and black tea.

Produced in the highlands of Taiwan. The leaves of the Butterfly of Taiwan are colored brown to black on the outside. The inside has remained dark green.

This Oolong is more than 70% oxidised and combines well with apple pie, salmon dishes and quiches.

The Butterfly of Taiwan naturally contains little caffeine, making the tea also good to drink in the evening.

This tea is also widely used as a base for Kombucha. The tea is first fermented before consumption. Because of this, the tea is said to have some health benefits, such as detoxification of the body and aiding digestion.
