Taste notes Nettle tea

How strong is nettle tea?

Nettle tea is unique in its strength and versatility. The strength of the tea can easily be adjusted to your personal preference. Let the tea steep for a shorter time for a milder effect or longer for a stronger, more pronounced taste. Our nettle tea retains its mild, fresh character even when steeped for longer, minimizing the risk of a bitter taste. This makes it a perfect choice for both new and experienced tea drinkers.

How strong is nettle tea?

For the perfect cup of nettle tea, start with fresh or dried nettle leaves. Use hot, but not boiling, water to retain the delicate flavors and nutrients. Let the tea steep for three to five minutes for a light and refreshing taste, or a little longer if you're looking for a more powerful effect. Our nettle tea is versatile and can be enjoyed hot or cold, making it ideal for any season and occasion.

Kirsten's Tip

An interesting way to use nettle tea is to integrate it into your skin care routine. Make a facial steam bath with nettle tea to purify and revitalize your skin. The steam opens your pores while the nettle releases its cleansing and anti-inflammatory properties. This can help make your skin brighter and fresher.Kirsten, the owner of Theewinkel Het Kleinste Huis, smiles while holding a large glass jar of loose tea

Stinging nettle helps relieve osteoarthritis and joint pain

Research shows that nettles help relieve the symptoms of osteoarthritis and joint pain, usually in the case of pain in hands, knees, hips and spine. Nettles even work in combination with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which can reduce the use of NSAIDs. Stewed nettle leaves were used for the research. Further research must show whether this also applies to nettle tea. (source: https://www.ncbi.nlm .nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6100552/)
