Description
Sencha is originally from Japan and means 'steeped tea'. It is the most popular tea from this country.
A Japanese middle class tea. Tea for practically all day. Spicy aroma, powerful in taste. Light green slightly wide tea tray.

Unlike green teas from China, Japanese green tea is steamed after withering the tea leaves. This breaks down the enzymes that initiate the oxidation process of the leaves. In this way, the tea leaves remain green.
Japanese green tea generally tastes slightly more bitter and grassier than Chinese teas.
