Sea Salted Fudge
Fudge... a delicious sweet treat made from butter, sugar, milk or cream. Mouth watering. Especially when a pinch of sea salt is added like with this great See Salted Fudge from Cartwright & Butler.
Cartwright & Butler has been the address for so-called 'tea time treats' for more than 115 years! A British concept that is indispensable on the tea table. We are therefore very happy that we can sell this beautiful brand in our tea shop in Amsterdam.
Sea Salted Fudge from Cartwright & Butler is packaged in a great storage tin with swing closure. This keeps the quality of the fudge good for an extra long time. The can is 11.5 centimeters high and has a diameter of 9 centimeters. Also nice to store your loose tea.
Fudge is a type of candy made from crystallized sugar, butter and milk. It is often combined with other ingredients such as salt, nuts or chocolate.
Toffee and fudge are the same, right?
No, that is often thought but it is not so. However, they do look very similar. The difference is in the ingredients that are used to make toffee and fudge. To make fudge, you need sugar, milk and butter. But to make toffee, you only use butter and sugar. You can also recognize the difference between toffee and fudge by the structure. Toffee is hard, smooth and brittle while fudge is soft and crumbly.
Which tea goes well with sea salted fudge?
At sea salted fudge, we at Het Kleinste Huis went in search of a tea that fits in well with the salty yet creamy character of this delicacy. A Rooibos Raspberry Vanilla goes well with sea salted fudge due to its fresh sweet character and honey-like taste. In addition, a fine black tea such as Assam or Red Vietnam also comes into its own with sea salted fudge.
