This Darjeeling, with a flowery, smooth taste, comes from the best 2nd flowering period of Margaret's Hope Tea Estate. This estate is located in the valley of Kurseong in Darjeling at an altitude between 100 and 1800 meters. Because the high elevation and cooler temperatures are produced later in the year than other tea gardens in the Darjeeling regions.

The Darjeeling Province is located in northeastern India. With an area of 19,800 hectares, 9.8 million kilos of tea are produced annually on the plantations.

The tea grows, in a moderate climate, on gentle slopes between 600 and 2000 meters above sea level. Every year between 3000 and 3300 millimeters of rain falls.

This tea is the FTGFOP1: Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe grade # 1 rated. This means that the best tea leaves have been used for this tea. Which you certainly can taste with this Darjeeling!

Margaret's Hope's second flush is always picked in June. These teas are characterized by a lot of body and a muscatel taste.
