This excellent black tea has been grown on the Maloon tea plantations since 1993. Located in western Nepal, these teas can compete with the best Darjeeling's. The tea has a fresh taste and floral notes.
This Nepalese tea has been given the rating TGFOP1, which is an abbreviation of 'Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe - grade # 1'. This means that the highest quality tea leaves are used for this tea.
The global tea industry uses its own system to determine the quality of tea. In general, the younger and smaller the tea leaves, the better the quality.
