The Chai among Chai's ... All spicy elements, such as ginger, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom scream for your attention. A wonderful boost for the cold dark autumn and winter evenings.
Our Masala Chai is a unique tea with a rich, spicy and slightly sweet character. The basis of this tea is a strong black tea, which harmonizes perfectly with the traditional Indian spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves and black pepper. Every sip is a true taste explosion, with the herbs providing a warming and slightly spicy effect. The sweetness of the tea comes from the use of cinnamon and cardamom, which provide a soft, subtle sweetness that is perfectly balanced with the powerful taste of the black tea and the other herbs.
Masala Chai is a tea with a powerful taste, but its strength can be adjusted as desired. If you let the tea steep for too long, the taste can become bitter and overwhelming. For a perfect cup of Masala Chai, we advise you to steep the tea in water at 100°C for 3 to 5 minutes. For a traditional preparation, add 2 grams of tea per 100 ml of water. You can experiment with the amount of tea and the pulling time to find your perfect cup.
The authentic Masala Chai tea is a real treat for your senses. The spicy aromas and rich taste make for a unique and unforgettable experience. It is not only a delicious drink to enjoy during colder days, but also a perfect choice to share with friends during a cozy high tea or a quiet moment for yourself.
Do you have a question about using Original Masala Chai? Below we have answered the most frequently asked questions for you.
Use one teaspoon of Masala Chai per cup and steep it for 3-5 minutes in water heated to 95-100 °C. This way, the flavor and aroma are best expressed.
Masala Chai has its origins in India. For this, people used strong black tea combined with spices and sweeteners. There is no set recipe for Chai, but generally ginger, cardamom and cinnamon are among the main ingredients. With this Winter Chai, fennel, cloves and liquorice are added, which gives it its winter character
Masala Chai can certainly offer health benefits, thanks to the combination of black tea and herbs. Black tea contains antioxidants that can contribute to overall health. The herbs, such as cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and ginger, each have their own health benefits, ranging from promoting digestion to supporting the immune system.
If stored properly, Masala Chai can last up to about 2 years. Keep the tea in a cool, dry place and in an airtight container to preserve freshness and flavor.
Absolutely! Masala Chai can be delicious with a splash of milk or a milk alternative of your choice. This gives the tea a creamy texture and can soften the spicy flavors, resulting in an even more warming and comforting beverage.
