Lady Gray tea is named after Mary Elizabeth Gray, wife of the famous Count Charles Gray, for whom the original blend was made. This tea has a lighter bergamot aroma with a hint of vanilla. This makes the tea a bit lighter and fresher in taste.
Ingredients: Tea, citrus peel, aroma, cornflower petals.
Although the name of the tea suggests that the tea has existed for centuries, it is still a fairly recent invention from the 90s of the last century.
The tea goes very well with lemon tart or cheese cake.
Just like with the normal Earl Gray, you can make a delicious iced tea from the Lady Gray. There are 2 common methods for making iced tea: cold and hot.
With the cold method, you use about 12 grams (0.42 oz) on 1 liter (33.81 fl-oz) of water. Fill the tea filter with tea and put it in the water. Then let the tea steep overnight in the refrigerator. The next day you will have delicious ice cold iced tea.
The hot method is faster. You make the tea in a normal way. First boil water, then steep the tea for 5 minutes and then let the tea cool down with ice cubes. Add a slice of lemon or honey, enjoy!
